At DATAMATX, we’re committed to having a positive impact on the communities where we live and work. While this is something we strive to do throughout the year, it’s especially top-of-mind for us during the winter months given the significant strain of colder weather and the holidays on marginalized families in the communities we serve.

This year, we’re excited to partner with North Fulton Community Charities (NFCC) in support of their food drive, with the goal of offering joy and sustenance to those in need. Since its founding in 1983, NFCC has supported individuals and families in the North Fulton community who are experiencing homelessness and hunger.

As a 501c3 charitable organization, NFCC provides emergency financial assistance to be used for housing, utilities, medical care, transportation and other essential expenses. The organization also operates a food pantry, a thrift shop and various educational workshops focused on career-building and financial skills-development.

Here are a few statistics that demonstrate NFCC’s impact within the North Fulton community:

  • More than 100 local families receive food from NFCC each day.
  • NFCC distributes more than $1.4 million annually in emergency financial assistance.
  • Each month, NFCC programs provide clothes for more than 800 families.
  • Over 280 adults benefit from NFCC’s life skills and workforce readiness classes each year.
  • More than 1700 individuals receive warm coats, Thanksgiving meals and/or toys each year as part of NFCC’s holiday programs.
  • In total, NFCC serves more than 8,500 individuals annually, including in the communities of Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Milton, Mountain Park and Roswell.

 

In partnering with NFCC for our holiday charity drive, DATAMATX collected non-perishable food items until Monday, December 11th and will also be donating $250 for the purchase of additional food.
