Earlier this month, the USPS reported new statistics that demonstrate consistent or improved performance across all delivery categories. From January 1^st through February 24^th, 91.2% of First-Class Mail and 94.4% of Marketing Mail was delivered on time according to the USPS performance standards, both of which are consistent with the percentages from the previous fiscal quarter. The average time to deliver a piece of mail across the country has also remained consistent, at only 2.5 days.

We are excited to see these performance metrics because they track progress toward the benchmarks of Delivering for America, the Postal Service’s ten-year plan for achieving financial sustainability and service excellence. By the time all components of the plan are implemented, their overall goal for delivery is 95% on-time service performance for all mail and shipping products.
