03 Apr DATAMATX Successfully Completes SSAE 16 SOC 1 Type II, SOC 2 + HITRUST CSF TYPE II Reports on Compliance
ATLANTA, Ga, April 3, 2017—DATAMATX, a national outsourcing provider and leader in the distribution of critical business communications and payment services, today announced that it has successfully secured the SSAE 16/SOC 1 Type II (Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements No. 16) and SOC 2 Type II compliance reports for five and two consecutive years respectively. Additionally DATAMATX added “+ HITRUST” controls examination this year to demonstrate their ongoing commitment to security and privacy practices for protected health information (PHI). A collaboration between HITRUST and AICPA, SOC 2 + HITRUST maps the Health Information Trust Alliance Common Security Framework controls to the SOC 2 criteria for each of the Trust Services Principles (TSP) to provide full coverage of the CSF controls required for CSF Certification.
HITRUST CSF is an information security framework developed to address the multitude of security, privacy and regulatory challenges facing healthcare organizations. Completing the SSAE 16 SOC 1 Type II, and SOC 2+ HITRUST CSF confirms the design and the operating effectiveness of the controls as well as compliance with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ (AICPA’s) Trust Services principles of Security, Availability, Processing Integrity, Confidentiality or Privacy.
“The HITRUST CSF has become the most widely-adopted security framework in the U.S. healthcare industry and critical for organizations that create, access, store or distribute protected health information,” said Scott Stephens, DATAMATX COO. “In integrating the HITRUST CSF controls to our secure environment this year, we are continuing to take every opportunity available to establish and maintain the highest level of security and compliance for our customers and our business.”
