DATAMATX is happy to bring two new services from the United States
Postal Service to its customers: Confirm®
and Planet Code® are now making
it easier for companies to verify mail delivery and synchronize
those deliveries with perfectly coordinated telemarketing and other
media support.
Confirm®, an
automated tracking methodology, allows select mailing partners to
assemble and disseminate daily updates on the progress of individual
mail pieces entered into and moving through the distribution system.
The Planet Code®, a barcode
applied either above the outbound or return address block, is
scanned and documented at each postal facility that the mailpiece
transits through during delivery. Participants then receive a daily
progress report for every piece of mail with a Planet Code®.
 With
Confirm's® delivery
verification data and ability to know in advance who is returning
payments or orders, mailers can process mail orders and staff
contact centers more efficiently, begin fulfilling soft offers
before response mail piece is received, initiate more timely
follow-ups based on verifiable subscriber activity and more.
